I bet you if you ask my Dad - he would tell you he hit that shot 240 right down the middle, at the end of the video you can hear him say, "I'll take it".

Even though 240 might be a bit of a stretch, he probably did hit it in the fairway. I have always thought it was amazing that after being in a severe car accident in 1963, an accident that many people including Doctors at the hospital did not think he would either live or return to a normal life, that he was able to recover and be so active.

My Dad played a lot of sports after the accident, paddle tennis, tennis, Golf - but there is no doubt that Golf was his passion. He played golf as much as he possibly could and as late in life as he could - a tribute to his perseverance and his strong will. The only problem with all of this was he re-defined what a gimme putt is - Hopefully my kids will respect the "gimme putt" range as liberally as we did for our Dad!!!!
