On April 17, 2010 Uncle Bob (Dad to me) turned 80 years old. On that night, Aunt Kathy (Mom to me) and his 5 boys hosted a surprise 80th Birthday Party. As brothers we had decided to host the party at St. Anthony's Gym - the Gym that my father coached for at least 15 years. We invited members of the Spendley - Hayden family as well as former players from his St. Anthony's 7th and 8th grade team.
I took a lot of pictures and afterwards put together 2 slideshows as well as a picture book. I know my Father truly appreciated the special celebration - especially the part when one of his former players stood up and said that he was the best coach he ever had - building up a Spendley Ego, that is something that should be done carefully!!!

We were truly excited about the evening and the memories that were shared were special for all of us. Some of the special moments from that night:
1) Dad being told he was a great coach
2) Uncle Bill delivered a very touching talk about how much his brother meant to him.
3) My brother Rob being there to surprise my Dad
4) The 5 brothers and Dad went to the new Yankee Stadium on Saturday - the Yankees lost to the Indians and they gave up 10 runs in one inning- oh well, everything else was perfect!!!
5) Aunt Rosemary and so many of the Spendley - Hayden Family were a part of this evening.
