I thought I would try to have a monthly blog that would create interest among family members and friends to participate in healthily discussion regarding topics of interest - at least topics of interest to me!

SO the first topic of What’s on my mind is ….

Will Tiger Woods win another major and will Tiger Woods break Jack Nicklaus’s record of winning 18 major championships????

Many people do not care if Tiger Woods ever plays golf again - for some stupid reason, I actually root for Tiger to win tournaments and continue the quest to break Jack’s record of 18 majors. For those of you who do not follow Tiger’s golf career - Tiger is at 14 major victories. Tiger has not won a major since the US Open in June of 2009.

I think Tiger will absolutely win a few more majors - I was convinced that he would beat Jack’s record but his performance this year leaves me some doubts. He has to figure hour how he can hit his driver with confidence and how he can putt like he used to - although I believe he will figure out how to hit is driver more consistently, I do not believe he will regain his putting prowess. It will be the lack of consistent putting that will cost his chance at breaking Jack’s record of 18 Major Championships. My bet is he gets to 16 or 17 and falls short.

Many women think that if Tiger Woods never won anything again or if he fell upon hard times that would not be enough to make up for the selfish actions he took with respect to his own family, and most importantly his wife. My comment is - I root for Tiger as a Golfer as someone who is or was the best at an extremely hard sport. I see the two issues as separate.
